Frequently Asked Questions – Bathroom Renovations
Do you guarantee your work?
Yes. All work done by a Indesign Bathrooms is covered by the QBCC (Our Licence is: 1274525A) for six years and six months, giving you peace of mind and security. We comply with all industry standards.
Can I look at any example of finished work?
Yes. Of course! We would be pleased to take you to a recently renovated bathroom in your area now.
How can I be sure that the renovation will be completed on time?
Indesign Bathrooms use agreements written by the Housing Industry Association and specify a completion date. We complete our agreements.
Will I have to move out of my home during the construction period?
No! If required, we can organise you an en-suite on site, which is a mobile bathroom that hooks up to your own water and sewer. Just step out your door. Simple.
Will you assist me to purchase my own fixtures and fittings?
Yes, we can assist you with the selection and purchase of your fixtures and fittings or we can do it for you.
How long will the construction period be?
The typical time for a complete standard bathroom renovation is between 10 – 15 working days. This excludes the shower screen. Quality product and finish adds lasting value to your property and that takes time. To do it any quicker means taking shortcuts and sacrificing quality, which is why some non-standard jobs may take a few days longer.
Do I save money renovating my two bathrooms at once?
Yes. The average saving on doing 2 bathrooms at once is about 20% of the cost of the second bathroom. This allows our team to efficiently complete the job all at once and minimize the management process. So you save time and money!
Do you use the same workers on each project?
Yes, all our trades are consistent, which gives us quality performance every time.
Will I still have water and electricity through this process?
Yes. The water and power will only be turned off for no more than 20 minutes throughout the renovation process.
Can I use some of my own tradesmen?
No, our systems and processes work best with the tried and tested team members we have. Seeing as we offer a complete service from start to finish we prefer to use our own tradesmen so as to guanratee our workmanship and keep to schedule.
What is your policy on the clearance of asbestos?
All our tradespeople are licensed to deal with the discarding of asbestos where necessary according to State procedures to ensure your safety.
When will my renovation begin?
Taking into consideration the drawing of the detailed plans of your project, the signing of contracts and the delivery of the products to be on site our time is within 2 weeks from signing.
Do you have a showroom?
We believe that for the custom-built work we do, having a showroom is not conducive. All our designs are client-specific and they are usually not duplicated. If you would like to see our work, our past clients have invited us to showcase work we have done for them to potential clients. We do welcome you to our Design Studio in Fortitude Vally to discuss all the plans and go through every last detail.
Do you clean up after the job is done?
We utilise professional cleaners at the end of each job to do a thorough clean up once your renovation is complete. This is included in the quote we give you. We also clean up each day at the end of the days work.
Are there any hidden charges I should be aware of?
We guarantee that there will be no surprise costs, hidden fees - all charges and fees will be reflected in our initial quote. Variations are only quoted for when you would want some extra work done or there are unforeseeable damages or delays on-site (termite damage, rotting timber etc). If I wanted to simply improve the resale value of my house by doing a bathroom renovation without spending too much money.
Will I need council approval?
